Every movie about Esther depicts her as stunningly beautiful. Indeed, the ‘old Esther’ of the early chapters relied upon her good looks. But this ‘new Esther’ of chapters 4 and onward is a woman who seeks after God. In the face of the many unknowns, she’s a woman of prayer and risk.
