The desert is the place we find ourselves when we are in deep need. The Israelites found themselves there and they faced three tests. We face our own tests in the desert. Jesus Christ also found Himself in the desert and He passed the tests that you and I and the Israelites failed. He is the rock and the bread of life that we can trust in.
