"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
Though we have had to move to doing life together online, we are still able to encourage one another through life's daily ups and downs. Discipleship groups meeting weekly via zoom or social distancing in a backyard or in the church building.
At Gracepoint, a discipleship group is the primary vehicle for us to connect with others, in order to grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. As we gather to eat, listen, care, laugh, celebrate, encourage, serve, find connection, discover our purpose, and pray, we fulfill Christ's call to be the growing family of God.
It's easy to stay in our solo bubble as life sweeps us away. But God wants you to flourish! We were never created to do life alone. Through his own group of disciples, Jesus modeled the value of doing life with others. God works through others to assist us to experience the Jesus-shaped life.
