“And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”  Luke 10:2

At Gracepoint we experience God and engage our world together.  We engage our world here through our Community Dinners and various outreach projects but how do we engage the world beyond our city?  As Jesus sent out the twelve to go into all nations, we believe we are called to go further.  Whether young, middle-aged or slightly more mature, we believe Jesus called all of us to share the Good News.  Right now the people of Gracepoint are involved in two major areas.  Yearly we head to Mexico and Ukraine where we have been able to build relationships with the people we have met.

For the past seven years, Gracepoint has sent teams down to San Quintin, Mexico to build houses and help in the community with children's camps and women's pampering nights.  As we have continued working in the same area, we have become involved with the church down there.  God has used our connections with them to bless many members of their church with houses.  The families we build for work alongside us to create a home.  This precious time working together allows us to build into each other's lives and connect with our brothers and sisters in Christ down in Mexico.

Attending the church service is many people's favourite part of being in San Quintin.  The service is lively and the prayer is powerful.  Some members of the mission team get to share their testimonies and others get to join in the worship band.  Though we worship in different languages, it is an amazing uplifting service where we come together and worship the God who loves us all so dearly.

Throughout the year we fundraise to cover the cost of the house.  These fundraising opportunities are a great time to bring the team together and bond over collecting bottles or clean dishes in the kitchen during their Cinco De Mayo meal.  If you are interested in joining in on the next Mexico Missions trip please email us at .

Gracepoint has been a part of an ongoing partnership with God’s Family Church in Zaporizhia, Ukraine for many years. For the past couple of years, teams from Gracepoint have traveled to Ukraine to serve alongside God’s Family church at a family camp for families that are either new to church and/or have been through trauma in their life.

Each trip to Ukraine has been uniquely different and focuses greatly on relationships and building connections. There has been so much beauty and value grow through both Gracepoint as well as our friends in Ukraine. We believe deeply in the mutual transformation that can happen when we work together with people from other cultures, with new perspectives that can encourage and challenge one another. It is a pleasure seeing two nations impacted at the same time. Team members minister the Gospel and impact those people around them, and those same team members have been impacted as well. When we return home, we take what the Lord has revealed to us to impact our homes. If you are interested in joining in on the next mission trip to Ukraine please email us at

Meet our Missionaries

Jacob Wall - Young Life - South Surrey/White Rock

Young Life is all about meeting teens in their world whether it's coaching sports in the school, hanging out at McDonald's, or gathering to do homework. We strive to build relationships with teens and share the love of Christ with them. My team of volunteers and I work with teens in Semiahmoo, Earl Marriott, Elgin Park, Sullivan Heights, and Panorama Ridge.

Cecil Rast - Youth Unlimited - Area Director for Surrey

Youth Unlimited is a faith-based organization that focuses on the vulnerable youth in our society.  We develop long-term meaningful relationships between a caring adult and the youth with the hope of seeing healing and life change in them.  I am fortunate to have some amazing people to work with that love God and love those that are sometimes hard to love.

Arlene Friesen -  Youth Unlimited - Surrey

My role as a youth worker allows me to help and support inner-city kids.  I get to walk alongside them through their peaks and valleys of life and help point them to God while loving them unconditionally just as Christ loves us!

Brian Brown - Life Teams/Youth Unlimited - Surrey

Life Teams is an eight-month youth worker training program that emphasizes experience-based training in the context of community living, spiritual formation, practical teaching, and relational youth work. It is a place for God to impact young adults while they impact youth. As Program Coordinator, I oversee the schedule, ensuring that the classes, events, and instructors work together for an effective learning experience for students.
