Comfort in the Midst of Adversity
We begin our series by debunking some of the myths around mental health. As a community of faith we particularly want to deal with the bad theology that Christians sometimes adopt towards mental illness. We can blame the person, we treat them as if something is wrong with their faith, we avoid the conversation, etc. Paul gives us a better way in 2 Cor. 1 as we consider that our caring is rooted in Christ and that He comforts us (He may not “cure” us) and we comfort one another.
